My Review of Zom-B Underground by Darren Shan

Wow. What a great sequel to the first book. Once again, Shan proves that he is a true master of horror.

After the first book ends, B wakes up as a revitalized zombie. These are zombies who are human-like, but they cannot do many human things, such as breathe, bleed, or blink.

B meets a bunch of other revitalized zombies who are with her inside this complex, where they are all being studied by scientists, such as Dr. Cerveris, and being watched by soldiers, such as Reilly.

Rage seems to be the leader of the group since he is a brute and the other revitalizeds follow his commands.

Rage was the second character that I liked the least out of the book. At the end of the book, when a group of mutants let a bunch of zombies loose on the complex, he kills Dr. Cerveris when the group finally makes it to his room to save him, then takes off on all of them and calls them losers.

Cathy was my least favorite character. She was rude and bitchy, especially to B. I loved when B ripped off Cathy's hair because it definitely took Cathy down a peg.

Tiberius was the funniest out of the group. Granted, he had his tendencies to be quite an ass to B, but he was definitely the second character I liked the most out of the book. He was a complete nerd and referenced well known "nerd" things a lot. His references were what made me love his character. He knew so much about things that I know well and it helped me understand what he was trying to say and also made his character more lovable.

Gokhan and Peder were probably the least noticeable characters in the book. They aren't mentioned a lot and they don't ever really talk much.

B was definitely, once again, my favorite. Her determination to stay strong to her values were what made me love her character even more in this book than I did in the first.

Overall, the book was fantastic and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a really great zombie apocalypse series to read. I honestly can't wait to read the next book in the series.
