My Review of Guyaholic by Carolyn Mackler
This book was the sequel to the book Vegan Virgin Valentine that I finished in January of this year. This one was just as good as the first one.
I'm definitely happy that Mackler made a second book with V as the main character. V was my favorite in the first book and I always hoped she would get her own book someday. And, apparently she did.
In the book, V finally falls in love with a guy named Sam. And she secretly is head over heels for the guy. Who wouldn't be? He's a sweetheart and I know that he is exactly what most girls are looking for.
One night, V accidentally kisses her ex, Amos, and is caught with him by Sam's sister, Rachel. Sam is devastated and leaves for California, and V decides that she needs to get out of Brockport when she keeps seeing Sam everywhere.
She decides to head to her mom's place in San Antonio, but towards the end, V changes her mind when her mom lets her down (for, like, the hundredth time) and ends up heading to California to see Sam.
Overall, I loved the book. It had V's witty and funny attitude along with a touch of romance, which I am always a huge sucker for.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic comedy.
