My Review of Cinder by Marissa Meyer

I have been dying to read this book ever since I stumbled upon it at a bookstore in my hometown! So glad I finally got a chance to dive into it.

Growing up, I was never a big fan of Cinderella. The whole story just seemed made up to me. You can't tell me a regular girl goes from rags to riches overnight! There's no way! However, this book blew that idea out of the water.

This book goes somewhat like Cinderella, only I found it to be more realistic. And definitely more detailed and interesting. Who else could've came up with the great idea to make the book have a futuristic setting AND make the main character (based off of Cinderella of course) be a cyborg? Marissa Meyer!

I loved it from beginning to end. It took an ordinary girl and developed her into a unique and very special character. The only bad part of the entire book was the huge cliffhanger at the end. I'm glad to know that Cinder's story will continue though.

I don't want to give away any spoilers here, so if you are dying to read this book as much as I was, do it! It's a fun and interesting take on an old, worn-out fairy-tale.
