My Review of My Life as a Fifth-Grade Comedian by Elizabeth Levy

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been busy with work and school. It feels so good to finally be posting again!

This book was an okay read. Not a big fan of reading children's books, but I've had this forever and I wanted to finally read this book.

The main character, Bobby Garrick, is a fifth-grade class clown who doesn't like to do his homework. If he doesn't start doing it, he will be sent to the School for Intervention.

Mr. Matous, Bobby's teacher, gives him an assignment: create a Laugh-Off to get extra credit. Bobby begins this project and it goes off without a hitch.

Along the way, Bobby experiences tons of nerves, lots of laughs, and many family issues. He handles them to the best of his ability and always has a good (well, sort of) joke throughout each chapter.

To be honest, it was okay, but I wouldn't recommend this book to young adults and up. This is more of a younger kids novel and personally, I think I would've enjoyed it better if I had read it when I was a kid.
